Teachly Joins FasterCapital’s LaunchUp Program to Redefine Learning and Earning in Nigeria
Teachly, an innovative edtech startup based in Nigeria, has officially joined FasterCapital’s LaunchUp program. The company, founded by Tokunbo Adekanla, is on a mission to transform the way students and tutors connect after school hours. Teachly is currently raising $500K to further develop its AI-powered platform that matches students with knowledgeable tutors in a personalized and budget-conscious way, while enabling skilled individuals to earn supplementary income by sharing their expertise.
Through Teachly, students no longer have to struggle alone or rely on limited local resources for academic support. The platform creates a bridge between learners and tutors by removing geographic and financial barriers, offering location-based learning, internet expansion to underserved areas, and fostering global classroom collaboration. This dual-impact model not only boosts student understanding and academic performance but also improves the economic well-being of tutors.
“We are excited to welcome Teachly into the LaunchUp program,” said Hesham Zreik, CEO of FasterCapital. “Their vision for an inclusive, tech-driven learning ecosystem is exactly the kind of impactful innovation we aim to support. By merging technology with community empowerment, Teachly is addressing two critical needs — education accessibility and income generation.”
Zreik added, “The commitment Teachly has shown to solving real problems through innovation and empathy aligns perfectly with our mission at FasterCapital. We look forward to supporting them on this journey and helping them scale their solution to reach more learners and tutors across Nigeria and beyond.”
Tokunbo Adekanla, Founder of Teachly, shared his thoughts on the partnership: “Joining FasterCapital’s LaunchUp program is a significant step forward for us. With their support, we are confident we can refine our platform, expand our reach, and attract the right partners to achieve our mission. This funding round is crucial for scaling our technology and connecting even more students to the tutors they deserve.”
With this collaboration, Teachly aims to accelerate its platform development, scale user adoption, and ensure more students and tutors benefit from a smarter, fairer educational ecosystem.
