Sportmotors Racing LLC, a pioneering Armenian startup founded by Sarkis Bedros Derkaloussian, has officially joined the LaunchUp program by FasterCapital. The company is on a mission to revolutionize the automotive industry with its 100% eco-clean ready-mix friction material composition for braking applications. Sportmotors Racing is currently raising $1M to accelerate product development and market entry.

The company addresses a critical environmental challenge: nearly 5% of air and water pollution in major urban centers stems from toxic particles released by traditional brake pads. While 3G ceramic brake pads have become popular for reducing copper and metal content, they still rely on materials that may be hazardous to human health. Sportmotors Racing aims to eliminate this problem by introducing a new generation of brake pads that go beyond current standards.
