Idea

QueBuster  is simplifying on-site event registration for hotels and convention centers through an offline-first, queue-less check-in solution tailored for Africa’s connectivity realities. The startup is now piloting with venues in Kampala and onboarding its first 100 paying customers.


Challenge

QueBuster is addressing the challenges of inefficiency and congestion in the event registration process within Uganda’s burgeoning business events market. Existing services fall short in handling on-site validation, resulting in long wait times, administrative errors, and poor attendee experiences. With a $431 million local and $800 billion global market, organizers face hurdles in delivering seamless check-ins, especially in low-connectivity environments. These gaps limit the ability to scale, reduce event ROI, and create friction in an otherwise high-potential industry.


Solution

QueBuster eliminates queues and paper-based check-ins at business events using a hybrid web and mobile solution that combines virtual queuing, QR-based validation, and real-time attendee management.

We’re addressing inefficiencies in East Africa’s $10.5B business events industry, where venue providers still rely on manual, error-prone processes. By reducing check-in times by up  to 65%, QueBuster enhances operational efficiency and the attendee experience.

The product is designed for venue providers — our beachhead market — helping hotels, convention centers, and event spaces digitize their registration workflows and deliver a modern experience for guests and event partners.
