FasterCapital backs Musakhel AgroLivestock Farm to deliver bundled agri-tech finance in Balochistan
Musakhel, Balochistan, Pakistan & Dubai, UAE - Nov 15 2025
Musakhel Agro Livestock Farm and FasterCapital announce a strategic partnership through the Equitypilot program to pilot bundled tech-enabled agri-finance and climate-resilient agriculture solutions across Musakhel district, addressing acute finance gaps and accelerating market-ready innovation via technical support, seed grant capital and digital monitoring.
Market opportunity & problem statement
Rural Balochistan relies heavily on livestock and smallholder crops but remains massively underserved by formal finance: up to 90% of households lack access. Climate pressures frequent droughts, erratic rainfall and land degradation compound low yields and post-harvest losses. Market inefficiencies (rigid collateral rules, weak value-chain processing, lack of climate-smart tools) create a white space for integrated agri-finance models that combine microcredit, asset finance and technology to boost productivity and resilience.
Startup solution & differentiation
MALF (est. 2018) delivers market-oriented agri-services and has proven expertise in dried meat processing and livestock support. The startup’s bundled offering combines rotational micro-loans, matched-cost asset financing (solar water pumps, processing equipment), drought-tolerant seed distribution and digital advisory. Early field pilots demonstrate measurable yield uplifts and reduced losses through on-farm processing and improved fodder. MALF’s deep local trust networks, pastoralist reach and lean implementation model create defensible distribution channels and rapid adoption in Musakhel’s dispersed rural communities.
FasterCapital partnership value
Selected for Equitypilot, MALF will receive EUR 100,000 pilot grant capital, technical design support for a Rotational Endowment Fund (REF), and digital monitoring systems from FasterCapital. FasterCapital’s selective process focuses on founder strength, market traction and scalable tech-enabled models; its global network accelerates fundraising and partnerships. Over a 12–24 month timeline, collaboration will validate the bundled model, de-risk capital flows for microfinance partners (MFPs) and prepare MALF for follow-on investment.
Executive quotes
“Harnessing localized delivery with technology-enabled finance addresses a major market failure in climate-vulnerable regions,” said Hesham Zreik, founder, FasterCapital. “MALF’s community trust and product-led approach align with our Equitypilot thesis: accelerate proven founders to scale impact and investability.”
Lutfullah Khan, CEO, MALF, added: “This partnership validates years of community work. With FasterCapital’s grant, technical design and investor access, we will bring bundled solar irrigation, fodder and processing finance to thousands improving incomes and resilience for women, youth and pastoralists.”
Growth trajectory & future plans
In the next 18 months MALF and FasterCapital will deploy 1,000 bundled loans (PKR 25M equivalent), roll out 1,000 solar pumps, pilot two meat-drying/processing hubs with cold storage and train 3,000 farmers in finance and climate-smart agriculture (40% women). The pilot will generate metrics for a larger scale raise within 12–24 months to expand across Balochistan and replicate the REF model regionally.
