Idea

Nubrick is transform construction and demolition (C\&D) waste into high-performance, sustainable interlock brick pavers. Instead of treating waste as a liability, Nubrick re-engineers it into a valuable input for infrastructure and urban development. The company’s mission is to prove that circular construction materials can be both stronger and cheaper, while reducing carbon emissions and landfill pressure.

Challenge

Nubrick is tackling a critical urban challenge Egypt generates over 40 million tons of C\&D waste annually, while MENA exceeds 150 million tons. Improper dumping leads to environmental degradation, high disposal costs, and wasted land. At the same time, governments and developers are under pressure to adopt low-carbon building materials. Nubrick sees this market gap as an opportunity to convert waste into durable, cost-effective interlock pavers, unlocking a multi-billion-dollar sustainable construction segment across roads, landscaping, and infrastructure projects.

Solution

Nubrick is delivering a practical, scalable solution the company produces interlock pavers from recycled demolition waste—primarily concrete—that integrate seamlessly with contractors’ existing processes. Using recycled additives, the pavers achieve compressive strength around 385 kg/cm², reduce virgin material use by 40%, and cut carbon emissions by \~35 kg CO₂ per m². Early milestones include accreditation, a 10,000 m² pilot, and partnerships with contractors and municipalities. With capacity of 15,000 m²/month and competitive pricing, Nubrick is positioned to meet both B2B and B2C demand while closing supply chain loops.
