Needhomes Property Investment Limited and FasterCapital announce a strategic partnership through the Equitypilot program to accelerate Needhomes’ residential developments in Lekki. The collaboration provides growth capital, technical and market support to fast-track construction of 33 serviced apartments and eight smart duplexes, validating market potential and speed-to-market.

Nigeria’s urban housing deficit and rising demand for secure, amenity-rich apartments in Lagos especially Lekki create a multi-billion-dollar opportunity. Local buyers and renters face fragmented supply, long delivery timelines, and limited institutional quality stock. Needhomes targets this white space with mid-market serviced apartments that bridge affordability and modern communal amenities, competing with informal developers and undersupplied institutional players.

Startup solution & differentiation

Needhomes designs mid-rise serviced residential blocks (33 units across 4 plots) plus eight 2‑bed smart terrace duplexes, featuring elevators, underground parking, gym, pool, concierge services, and landscaped communal spaces. The company combines lean project management, local construction partnerships, and buyer-friendly payment plans to shorten delivery to 24 months and reduce cost overruns. Needhomes has secured land options, detailed costings (total project ~NGN1.6bn / USD1.88M) and is fundraising USD 941,176 to complete construction—demonstrating a capital-efficient model and strong unit economics.
