Matt & Hew Foods is a Botswana-based agribusiness venture established to build a premium, export-focused canned beef operation that leverages Botswana’s global reputation for high-quality beef to serve fast-growing African markets, with an initial focus on Angola’s premium and institutional meat demand.

Matt & Hew Foods is addressing critical regional challenges including Angola’s reliance on imported processed meat, inconsistent supply quality, limited traceability, and high logistics costs by offering a secure, scalable, and sustainable Botswana-based production hub that guarantees consistent premium standards, export compliance, and long-term supply contracts supported by integrated infrastructure and zero-waste operations.


Solution

Matt & Hew Foods is delivering a fully vertically integrated beef processing and export model, combining on-site feedlot operations, a Halal- and export-certified abattoir, and high-capacity canning facilities to produce up to 30 million cans of premium canned beef annually, ensuring full control over quality, traceability, cost efficiency, and supply reliability from farm to foreign market.
