Idea

EXIM Fair Trade is a coffee bean supplier committed to quality and fairness, modernizing Cameroon’s green coffee value chain to improve farmer incomes and preserve local livelihoods. With operations in both Cameroon and Switzerland, the company integrates direct trade, quality control, and international compliance to deliver high-end Arabica and Robusta beans that meet global specialty coffee standards.

Challenge

EXIM Fair Trade is addressing the decline in the volume, quality, and demand for Cameroonian green coffee, which has led to farmer income loss, rural depopulation, and increased illegal migration. The sector suffers from complex, inefficient value chains with too many intermediaries, low profitability compared to other crops, limited representation of Cameroonian producers in global markets, and the growing impact of climate change on coffee production.

Solution

EXIM Fair Trade is creating a streamlined, traceable coffee supply chain by establishing a legal and operational structure in Cameroon, investing in a complete processing station, and ensuring fair prices for farmers through direct trade. By handling processing, quality checks, and export logistics in-house, the company guarantees international-standard green coffee beans while embedding sustainability across economic, social, and environmental pillars.
