Idea

In 2015, the BOGC Foundation for the African Child was born. Our Charge: To educate children and give them a sense of direction. This charge led to research that discovered that children with some form of guidance or a cushion are able to transition faster into responsible adulthood. Upon this happenstance, we embarked on a path to find a solution. In so doing, we make sure any child or young adult we encounter is made aware of the essence of this cushion and guide. In that regard, the solution, we are instituting algorithms that adopt risk management especially in insurance pricing to create an insurance policy for the African continent, a system that uses artificial intelligence and nearest neighbour needs to create an Ed-tech-like application hinged on the insurance policy and a means to provide these children and young adults a yardstick for making effective and efficient decisions. In that regard, we will create the application ENSURANCE that will ensure the fruitful implementation of our research findings and expected positive outcomes. If my pitch is successful, I intend to launch a system that comes with the App ENSURANCE.

Challenge

Imagine the gap in education based on where and how it was carried out (Local and International, Differences in Curriculum, Rural and Urban, Public and Private school settings) could be bridged. Imagine insurance that cares even before a negative event. Imagine the stress associated with receiving the news about opportunities, almost always at the eleventh hour, is checked and eliminated. Imagine the ability to receive tailored solutions to your educational needs.  These, among others, are what the project seeks to address.

Solution

I am currently creating a system that uses nearest neighbour needs, artificial intelligence, and preset pricing algorithms to devise an insurance policy that is hinged on an ed-tech-like application for the African Child, especially.  If accepted into the program, I intend to launch a system that comes with the App Ensurance. Below are the expected deliverables and milestones.
The project is in three phases. The first involves the collection of data from some institutions. For the data. We intend to restructure, analyse, and present outputs to be delivered during structured workshops of the BOGC Foundation for the African Child, Publications, and media marketing.

The second phase involves the creation of the app system to further buttress the findings presented during the structured workshops, publications, and media marketing.

Finally, we pilot the project in the Greater Accra Region of the Republic of Ghana. We intend to visit between 1000 and 5000 schools to have children and young adults register for the app. Have a transport service that will generate revenue for the startup as well as disseminate the findings from our research and market the Ensurance project details.

For the founder and research lead, Bernard Otchere, He is a result-oriented, self-motivated educator with about 20 years of experience in child and youth development. I have a keen interest in entrepreneurship and the modeling of abstracts. I derive my motivation from the discrepancy between the economies of nations and the need to bridge the gap. My aspirations are geared towards the field of financial engineering and the use of risk management in finance, insurance, social systems, as well as in economic systems.
