Idea

Bet El Billionaires is a South African telecommunications and social impact venture focused on improving child safety through technology infrastructure. The company aims to address the growing safety risks faced by approximately 9.1 million children between the ages of 7 and 17, including threats such as abduction, gender-based violence, trafficking, bullying, and online exploitation. By combining telecommunications distribution with child-focused technology solutions, the company positions itself as a bridge between digital connectivity and real-world safety for families across the country.

Challenge

Bet El Billionaires is addressing critical societal and technological challenges related to child protection, digital inclusion, and infrastructure accessibility. In many communities, families lack affordable tools to monitor and protect their children both physically and online. At the same time, the absence of integrated safety networks and limited awareness around digital threats increases vulnerability. The startup seeks to close this gap by providing scalable safety technology, strengthening telecommunications access, and building a nationwide support ecosystem involving parents, schools, NGOs, and telecom providers.

Solution

Bet El Billionaires is developing and deploying an integrated child safety technology system centered on affordable smart devices designed specifically for children. These devices will include features such as an SOS panic button linked to parents, real-time GPS tracking, cyber safety filters, and emergency alert capabilities that can notify parents, schools, or law enforcement. Through a strategic partnership with Telkom and a national network of trained agents, the company plans to distribute up to two million devices and provide supporting mobile connectivity, ensuring both accessibility and scalability.
