Idea

Asmii2 is a startup that proposes designing and operating a fully integrated PET plastic recycling factory based on a coordinated mechatronic architecture. The concept centers on transforming post-consumer PET waste into reusable industrial raw material by combining mechanical processing equipment with automated monitoring and control. The objective is to convert plastic waste into high-value pellets suitable for manufacturing while ensuring consistent throughput, traceability, and industrial scalability.

Challenge

Asmii2 is addressing the complexity of recycling operations, strict regulatory compliance, operational safety risks, and inconsistent material quality typical in plastic waste streams. Recycling plants must simultaneously meet occupational safety laws, environmental regulations, and quality standards while preventing hazards such as entrapment, burns, dust exposure, and equipment failure. The startup tackles these barriers by embedding automation, monitoring, documentation, and maintenance protocols directly into the factory’s design to achieve reliable, safe, and regulation-ready recycling operations.

Solution

Asmii2 is building a recycling plant where conveyors, shredders, sorting modules, and extrusion lines operate under centralized automation using sensors, actuators, PLCs, and supervisory control systems. The factory continuously measures temperature, pressure, and material flow to optimize processing parameters in real time, while safety systems, ventilation, and predictive maintenance routines reduce downtime and operator risk. The result is an efficient closed-loop recycling workflow that produces standardized recycled PET granules compliant with industrial and environmental requirements.
