Idea

3CITE is a Malawian tech startup dedicated to building ICT-driven platforms that empower communities in education, agriculture, and local development. The company was founded with the vision of using home-grown innovation to close critical gaps in access to knowledge, services, and opportunities. Its flagship innovation, *Bonda*, is an e-learning prototype designed to improve access to quality education by providing revision tools, quizzes, and teacher support to students at both primary and secondary school levels.

Challenge

3CITE is solving critical challenges such as limited access to quality education, lack of affordable ICT solutions, and digital exclusion in underserved communities. In Malawi and across Africa, many schools lack modern learning tools, farmers have limited access to data-driven agricultural services, and communities face barriers to information and service delivery. By creating user-friendly, locally relevant platforms, 3CITE addresses digital literacy gaps, affordability concerns, and service accessibility, while aligning with regional development goals like Africa’s Agenda 2063.

Solution

3CITE is delivering digital solutions that directly address barriers faced by schools, communities, and farmers through two main products: *Smart Education* and *Smart Community*. Smart Education leverages technology to provide accessible, affordable, and localized learning resources for students and educators. Smart Community creates ICT-driven platforms that connect people with essential services such as healthcare, agriculture, and cultural preservation, while also promoting digital literacy and job creation. Together, these solutions foster inclusion, accessibility, and long-term community impact.
